The Department of International Studies is composed of teaching and research personnel from the International Relations area and is responsible for the teaching and research in their areas of knowledge: international cooperation, international organizations, international policy, international treaties and agreements, and international relations problems: conflicts, conflict resolution and others.
It is a young and dynamic department, developing and growing, formed by teachers with proven professional experience, rigor and academic experience. Through their scientific production, they participate in the reflection on current international problems, trying to provide solutions to transform them and, thanks to their connection with professional practice, they bring the student closer to international praxis. Thus, the members of the Department of International Studies aspire to be a community that generates knowledge, from freedom and respect, committed to the promotion of social change, of governance and Justice.
The Department of International Studies maintains close collaborations with various national and foreign research centers like the ETEA Foundation for Development and Cooperation; the Researchers’ Net of Studies on Development (REEDES), the Observatory of Spanish University Cooperation, the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development, the European Association of Studies on Development (EADI), the Latin American Network on Contemporary Forms of Slavery, and the Latin American Observatory on the Trafficking of People, through specific research-project programs, technical assistance and cooperation programs.
