What is the H2020?

The European Union concentrates many of its research and innovation activities in the Framework Program called Horizon 2020 (H2020) in this edition. In the period 2014-2020 and by implementing three pillars, it contributes to addressing major challenges for society, promoting industrial leadership in Europe and strengthening the excellence of its scientific base. The budget at its disposition will amount to 76,880 M €.

Horizon 2020 integrates for the first time all stages - from the generating of knowledge to activities closer to the market: basic research, technology development, demonstration projects, pilot lines for manufacturing, concept testing, normalization, support for pre-commercial public purchases, venture capital and a system of guarantees.
