José María Manzano es graduado en Ingeniería de Tecnologías Industriales por la Universidad de Sevilla en 2014, con especialización en Automática. Posteriormente cursó el Máster Universitario en Ingeniería Industrial (2014-2016) y es Doctor en Ingeniería Automática, Electrónica y de Telecomunicación por la Universidad de Sevilla, defendiendo la tesis \'cum laude\' en 2020. Actualmente es Profesor Adjunto en el departamento de Ingeniería de la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, donde ejerce el cargo de Subdirector de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería, es el Responsable del Grupo de Investigación \'Optimización y Control de Sistemas Distribuidos\' y el Coordinador Académico del Máster en Inteligencia Artificial.Sus líneas de investigación se han centrado en el desarrollo de técnicas de inteligencia artificial y aprendizaje automático al control de sistemas, centrándose en el análisis de estabilidad y la operación eficiente y segura de sistemas no lineales, usando para ello técnicas basadas en datos. Actualmente aplica su investigación a la agricultura inteligente y drones acuáticos, entre otros. Ha realizado estancias de investigación en la Universidad de Oxford (abril-junio 2019) y en la Universidad de Bérgamo (mayo-julio 2022), y ha publicado en diversas revistas y congresos internacionales, entre otros. Actualmente imparte docencia en varios grados y másteres de Ingeniería en la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, en asignaturas como Visión Automáticas, Domótica, Simulación de Sistemas y Vehículos, e Inteligencia Artificial.
