Abstract Objectives: The present study aimed to perform an anthropometric and physical condition analysis in young handball players; Methods: A total of 30 girls participated in the study (15 Under-16 and 15 Under-18). All women were analyzed in weight, height and span and anthropometry. CMJ, 2 kg medicinal ball throw, 30 m sprint bouncing, and Course-Navette (20m-SRT) were performed as proof of physical condition. CMJ, medical ball throwing and 30 m sprint bouncing were done in pre-season and at the end of the season (pre-test / post-test); Results: The results in anthropometry show significant differences in weight (57.39 ± 7.29 vs 61.5 ± 2.45), fat percentage (18.45 ± 2.34% vs 16.45 ± 1.87%) and muscle percentage (45.2 ± 2.1 vs 47.99 ± 2.45). There are no differences in physical characteristics. Between the pre-test and the post-test, there were significant improvements in all the physical condition variables except for the CMJ in the cadet category; Discussion: The increase in weight and decrease in fat percentage may be due to the increase in muscle mass due to growth, following the line of research carried out.; Conclusions: In conclusion, there is higher body weight, percentage of muscle mass and lower fat percentage in Under-18. The performance parameters improve throughout the season in both categories. © 2020 Didactic Asociation Andalucia. All rights reserved.
