Doctor en Psicología con calificación sobresaliente Cum Laude y mención internacional por la Universidad de Sevilla (2022), con la tesis titulada “Biopsychosocial profile of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) associated with liver transplantation and prevention of risk factors”. Graduado en Psicología por la Universidad de Sevilla (2015), Máster en Psicología General Sanitaria por la Universidad de Sevilla (2017), y Experto Universitario en Competencias Docentes por la Universidad Europea (2023). Su actividad investigadora se centra en la intervención psicológica con pacientes con patología hepática crónica. Esta línea de investigación deriva de la colaboración con diversos hospitales nacionales e internacionales, dando como resultado hasta el momento 10 artículos indexados en JCR (5 Q1 y 5 Q2), 2 capítulos de libro indexados en SPI, y 29 comunicación en congresos nacionales e internacionales. Destaca la internacionalización de la trayectoria científica con estancias de investigación financiadas en la Newcastle University y la University Medical Center Mainz, así como la participación en proyectos de I+D de convocatorias nacionales e internacionales (Plan Estatal 2013-2016 Excelencia - Proyectos I+D, o Center for Outcomes Research in Liver Diseases, entre otros). El desempeño profesional ha estado vinculado previamente al Departamento de Personalidad, Evaluación y Tratamiento Psicológico de la Universidad de Sevilla, destacando la concesión de un contrato predoctoral FPU (2018-2022) o la contratación como Profesor Sustituto Interino (2023). Actualmente es Profesor Ayudante Doctor en el Departamento de Psicología de la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, donde imparte créditos universitarios en el Grado en Psicología y en el Máster en Psicología General Sanitaria. Ha dirigido varios Trabajos Fin de Grado y cuenta con más de 450 horas acreditadas de formación en competencias para la innovación docente en el ámbito universitario. Pertenece al grupo de investigación Loyola Health de la Universidad Loyola Andalucía.
