Manuel Gantiva earned his Bachelor\'s degree in Electronic Engineering in 2016 from the Universidad Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, Colombia, where he also pursued his master\'s degree. During this period, he worked as a research assistant with Dr. Javier Chaparro in the Ecitrónica research group, focusing on the agro-engineering line for six months. Subsequently, he served as a graduate assistant, contributing to the planning and management of the Master\'s program in Electronic Engineering alongside Dr. Hernán Paz. He obtained his Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering with an emphasis on Automation and Control, receiving cum laude recognition, an honor distinction, and a meritorious thesis award for his outstanding academic performance. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in the Systems and Sustainable Engineering program, where he researches the coordinated control of surface vehicles and participates as a research assistant in local, regional, and international projects. His research focuses on the GNC of autonomous vehicles for cleaning and monitoring applications, as well as the development of computer vision algorithms.
