Publications

He is currently in the first year of his doctoral thesis (2025) in the Psychology program at Loyola Andalucía University (Seville, Spain). This doctoral thesis is part of a research project titled “Universal prevention of maternal perinatal mental disorders and its implementation as normalized routine practice e-Perinatal” (ID: 101042139; Funding: €1.486.172,5), funded by the European Research Council (ERC). Additionally, he has been awarded a research grant called “Formación Profesorado Universitario” by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities in 2024. Throughout his research career, he has participated in a nationally competitive research project: Cohorte DESVELA. Analysis of the role of personal skills as determinants of morbidity incidence, lifestyles, quality of life, use of services, and mortality (PI: Emma Motrico; ID: PI19/01264; Funding: €27.346). He served as a collaborating researcher in this project. Currently, he is involved in the research team of a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant: the e-Perinatal study (PI: Emma Motrico; ID: 101042139; Funding: €1,486,172.5). He is a member of the Perinatal-IBiS Lab (IBiS-B-17), coordinated by the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville. In terms of scientific output, he has published a total of three articles, all indexed in the Journal Citation Report within the first and second quartiles. These publications originate from competitive research projects such as “Universal prevention of maternal perinatal mental disorders and its implementation as normalized routine practice e-Perinatal” (ID: 101042139; Funding: €1.486.172,5) and “Hybrid trial for the evaluation of a multirisk complex intervention to promote healthy behaviors in individuals aged 45-75 years in Primary Care: EIRA 3 study” (ID: PI15/01151; Funding: €21.296). To date, he has contributed to 12 international conferences, including the International Congress of Clinical and Health Psychology in Children and Adolescents, The International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health, and the European Congress of Psychology. He demonstrates a strong commitment to open science practices, ensuring that all research is disseminated following FAIR principles. Her work is published in high-quality open-access peer-reviewed journals or stored in institutional repositories (https://repositorio.uloyola.es/). A data management plan (DMP) aligned with GDPR is applied to all publications, and all studies are preregistered in public repository sources like PROSPERO, ZENODO, or OSF, with some also available as preprints. His research career exhibits a significant international component, which is reflected in the internationalization of his publications, attendance at international conferences, and ongoing collaboration with prestigious researchers in his area of specialization. He is deeply committed to transferring research knowledge to society. Therefore, he incorporates public and patient involvement perspectives into the research design process and the dissemination of research results.
