Abstract Henri Maldiney, French phenomenologist is still to be discovered in Hispanic research. Analysing his critical dialogue with Heidegger is an appropriate way to enter into his works. Addressing the dialogue on themes such as the event and the human being is decisive because these are central themes in the work of both. In doing so, we will show that for Maldiney existential analytics is insufficient to understand the radical openness that is the human being. The event and the pathic are decisive categories for him, which are understood from transpossibilit & eacute; and transpassibilit & eacute;. These allow us to understand the event beyond the project, the destiny and the inherence of the human being in the world.
