Abstract The aim of this study was to analyze the variables related to the score in the 2019 World Padel Tour tournaments and to study the differences by gender, round and tournament. To do this, a total of 647 matches corresponding to 12 men and women tournaments of the World Padel Tour were analyzed. The results showed that approximately 70% of professional padel matches are resolved in two sets. Considering players\' gender, a significantly higher number of balanced sets (p=0.03) and tie-break sets (p=0.03) were observed in the male category. No differences were found in any variable related to the score based on type of tournament in the men\'s category. However, in women\'s category, master tournaments showed a significantly higher number of balanced sets than open tournaments. Finally, there was a significantly increased equality of the scores from the semifinal round in master and open tournaments (p=0.048). This data can serve as a reference for coaches when designing training sessions adapted to the characteristics of the competition.
